HORMONAL TESTS

In this 21st Century, with increased stress, deadlines, pollution, the use of wrapping on food and the addition of pesticides in to the food chain, both the male and the female hormones (present in both males and females) are shifting to potentially toxic levels or becoming depleted. Some symptoms of this can include weight gain around the belly or ‘beer belly’, feeling hot or hot flushes, low bone density, losing hair, trouble focusing, headaches, exhaustion, low sperm count, high PSI levels, irregular menstrual cycles, fibroids, polycystic ovaries, PCO’s, endometriosis as well as disease states such as osteoporosis or hormone related cancers such as prostate cancer or breast cancer.

The way your hormones work are directly linked to the role of stress on the body and for this reason, stress plays an integral part in the way the body's hormones function, especially with male and female hormones. For this reason all of our hormone tests (apart from the One Day Oestradiol / Progesterone Test) include a test for the adrenal hormones, Cortisol and DHEA or the Adrenal Stress Profile.
